My riding season is just beginning as I am back in Palm Desert after a summer in Vancouver - kinda weird really as many of you have finished your riding for the year.

My Bird is at the shop getting a few issues sorted out and the fender bolt warranty work done. The dealer is about 100 miles away and the logistics of taking my bike in and fetching it are really complicated as I spentd most of the winter on my own down here as my wife continues to work to assist the retirement funds which like everyone else's have been hit pretty hard in the recession. Anyway I have been looking at motorcycle trailers as this would help with the logistics a lot and also give me the flexibility of taking the bike back to the Pacific Northwest in the summer.

I need something that I can load easily myself and it also has to be foldable or stackable as I don't have a lot of room in my garage for a trailer and the other toys :

I came across the new Kendon ride up single bike trailer and it looks very good although it's certainly not cheap. Link I have the opportunity to buy a demo model or a used standard single Kendon and the upgrade kit for 500 bucks.

Does anyone have any experience with a Kendon trailer?

Thanks

These look like pretty well engineered trailers. I don't think the price is too bad if the quality is there.
Did you check out their lifts? At that price I'm very tempted.

Hey-I have owned a Kendon Single for about 4 years and have owned a Kendon Dual for 2 more years and they have been good to me. I do a 700 mile round trip a few times a year so have racked up a good amount of miles now. I got a much wider ramp so I could keep my feet planted as the bike goes on the trailer. The provided ramp is a joke. I got a folding triple wide aluminum ramp from Harbor Freight. I also have the 12 V electric winch from Kendon that they sell and that makes it very simple to load single handed. I have had zero issues with both trailers and highly recommend Kendon. The Thunderbird is a big bike and you need a good solid trailer and the Kendon is perfect. Best way to get the Thunderbird somewhere is to ride it! But second best is the Kendon.

EDIT- just checked out the website and I see the new "ride up" corrects the bullshit narrow rail they used to provide.
